Thunderbirds Are Going To Auction

Today a team went to London to pick up six Virgin Trains nameplates, they will be going under the hammer at our West Coast 40 event on Saturday 3rd May. Plates up for grabs is:-
- Firefly (Ex 57 314) + Badge
- The Mole (Ex 57 315) + Badge
- Virgil Tracy (57 302) - We regret to inform that the accompanying badge isn't available. 
- Gordon Tracy (57 304) + Badge
- Lanarkshire Voyager (Presentation Plate for 220 012)
- Heaven's Angels (Ex 390 047)
      - Plus 50 more lots.

Easter Extravaganza - This Weekend

Stuck on something to do this weekend? Why not bring the kids down to the Crewe Heritage Centre? We have a weekend of fun and excitement for all the family, from Easter Egg hunts to Driver Expedience. There is something for everyone so come along and treat the kids to a day of excitement.

Also on offer for the over 18's will be driver experience on our full size trains, and for the kids Miniature Railway driver experience.

This event will also feature DRS Class 37 603 on static display.

A Special Announcement - Basford Hall Trips

The Crewe Heritage Centre is pleased to announce that as part of the West Coast 40 celebrations, with kind permission of Freightliner. We have been allowed to run a total of six bus trips over three days to Basford Hall Marshalling yard. Money raised from this event will go to the Freightliner staff chosen charity to help an orphanage in Haiti, so please come and enjoy a visit and help a good cause.

Thunderbirds Are Go.....ing?

We are pleased to announce that on behalf of Virgin Trains and Direct Rail Services, visiting locomotives Class 90, 90034 and WCML Thunderbird Class 57/3 (number still to be confirmed) will be on display all weekend - subject to availability and operational requirements. This event will also feature three Virgin Trains 'thunderbird' name plates and badges 
(Saturday 3rd ONLY).
